MARCHING BAND
It would be really nice to start the Marching Band season together by attending mass together. Mass will be celebrated Friday morning at 7:30 AM in the chapel at school (up one flight of stairs, through the doors, first door on the left, walk through the career room to the chapel). Please join us!

Candy Bags
The York Catholic Marching Band welcomes and thanks visiting bands during home football games by giving them bags of individually packaged candies. The schedule of sections in charge of providing candy for each home game is listed below. Please help us carry on this tradition by ensuring that your child brings at least one medium sized bag of individually wrapped candy to his/her section's designated football game.
September 3: Flutes and Saxophones
September 10: Pit and Colorguard
September 24: Low Brass
October 8: Trumpets
October 29: Drumline
FUNDRAISING & VOLUNTEERS
Football and Basketball Concessions

All band families are expected to volunteer at the concessions stand during home games and to chaperone band events that are located off campus.
We also ask for various donations, such as baked goodies individually wrapped. These represent 100% profit for us! In colder weather, barbeque or soup is much appreciated by chilly fans.
For home football games, we need about 10 people for the concession stand. We ask for a couple parents to come in about 4-430 PM to start hot water for chocolate or coffee, and help set up the stand. Working at the concession stand is also a great way to get the required volunteer hours for students. Away football games and band competitions require 4-5 parent volunteers.

We are very blessed in the Music Department to have two gifted and caring music educators working with our students! The talents they share give our students the opportunity to work with musicians who serve as an excellent model, and educators who provide challenge in the classroom.
Mrs. Jamie Waite is an amazing leader of our instrumental programs. She brings out the best in all her students, and the music they produce is evidence of her efforts! She also serves our country as a member of the PA Army National Guard…providing morale for our troops and educating audiences through music. Thank you for your service, Mrs. Waite!
Mr. Christopher Waite is the leader of our choral music programs. He produces fantastic musicals each year here at YC! The school choirs are exceptional! He brings quality choral music to us through our concert choir, mixed chorus, and liturgical singers. He recently performed at the Strand Capitol Performing Arts Center as the featured Tenor Soloist with the York Symphony Orchestra! “An Evening of Rodgers & Hammerstein” was a big success! As a result, he was invited to perform with the St. Louis Philharmonic and had a terrific performance with them in September. Congratulations, Mr. Waite!
