“For it is in giving that we receive.”
~Francis of Assisi
Welcome and thank you for visiting YC’s Advancement Office web pages. We’re glad you’re here! We sincerely appreciate your interest in supporting York Catholic and our talented students.
For over 90 years, philanthropy has played a vital role at YC. Donor gifts in support of academics, our teachers, spiritual life, athletics, music, facilities, clubs and activities have greatly enriched the student experience.
Our York Catholic community celebrates the pillars of faith, mind, heart, and family, as well as our vast alumni family who number in the thousands around the globe.
Thank you for choosing to make a gift to YC. Whatever your affiliation — alumni, parent, grandparent, or friend — your commitment to our values-filled Catholic education and investment in our school, as well as our students and teachers, is sincerely appreciated.
As you review the gift opportunities that follow, please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions, or if you’d like to learn more about establishing a fund, scholarship, making a capital gift, or remembering York Catholic in your Estate Plans.
Together we can ensure the future of YC is bright for our school and its students who benefit from our rich academic, spiritual, athletic, and cultural offerings.
Thank you for caring and making a difference. Thank you for helping YC students to grow in faith, mind, and heart as members of the York Catholic family.

Special Purpose Entity (SPE) allows Pennsylvania individuals to re-direct 90% of your personal state income taxes to York Catholic High School. SPE is based on tax liability, not income, therefore each taxpayer’s situation will differ. Participants must be PA residents where at least one spouse is employed or has an ownership interest in a PA for-profit business. An individual or couple filing jointly must have a state tax liability of $3,500 or more to participate. Additionally, you receive at least a 10% personal deduction on your federal taxes. The money you re-direct to York Catholic is for educational purposes, specifically tuition assistance.
If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity, please follow these steps:
- Review information on the SPE program to determine if you qualify. https://www.pennsylvaniaeitc.org/frequently-asked-questions.html
- Confirm your personal state income tax liability with your accountant.
