The average cost to education a student for the 2019-20 school year is $9,380.00. The York Catholic community works together with the school families to provide this valuable Catholic educational opportunity. To collectively fund a student’s education, parishes provide a percentage of funds for their parishioners attending York Catholic; alumni, businesses, and friends provide support through donations; and families provide tuition.

FACTS Management is our tuition management company and each family must be enrolled online with the responsible payee’s complete information by May 15, 2019. If you are re-enrolling or you have applied for Financial Aid through FACTS Management, you use the same log-in information for both tuition and Financial Aid. This is an important part of the re-enrollment process. Your student’s enrollment is not considered complete without the online enrollment to the FACTS tuition management plan. The enrollment fee of $40.00 will be charged by FACTS through your payment plan. If you decide to pay tuition in full, in one lump sum payment to FACTS by June 22, 2019, the $40 fee is waived. If you do not already have a FACTS account, you are still required to enroll with FACTS Tuition Management by the May 15th deadline. The FACTS website can be accessed by clicking on the FACTS logo found at the bottom of the York Catholic homepage at www.yorkcatholic.org.
According to the policy established by the school board, no transcripts will be forwarded, no diplomas issued, nor will academic reports be given unless all tuition and fees are current or paid in full.
York Catholic is operated as a faith community, and not as a commercial or secular enterprise. The school provides an opportunity for the development of faith-based values and for receiving instruction in the Gospel of Christ as part of its religious mission and ministry. Consequently, the payment of tuition may not be considered as creating a commercial or contractual relationship between the school and the parents that may be construed to create a legally enforceable obligation on the part of the school, or its sponsoring ecclesiastical entities, to allow for continued enrollment, or to provide any type or level of educational services, or to provide such services involuntarily.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I make the investment?
Over 96% of York Catholic graduates enroll in colleges and universities across the country each year, including schools like Penn State University, University of Maryland, University of Pittsburgh, and Temple University. 74% of the Class of 2018 were awarded scholarships and the total scholarship aid offered by all schools totaled $11 million.
How do I pay tuition?
Option 1: Tuition may be paid in full in July for the following school year through your FACTS account. Full payments will not incur the $40 payment fee.
Option 2: A monthly payment plan may be set-up. Payments plans are set up through FACTS and are due the 10th of each month August through May.
Is Tuition Assistance available?
Two need-based tuition assistance programs are available to those who qualify: The Neumann Scholarship Foundation administered through the Diocese of Harrisburg and York Catholic’s Tuition Assistance Program funded by generous donors. The online application for tuition assistance is due no later than April 15, 2019 for the 2019-20 school year. We do our best to help every family with financial need, however, applying for aid after the deadline greatly diminishes the chance for tuition assistance as the monies available may have already been allotted. Please note: Tuition Assistance will not be considered until registration to York Catholic is completed in full and all materials and registration fees have been received. Click here for the online tuition assistance application through FACTS.

Tuition Assistance Opportunities
Neumann Scholarship Foundation
The Diocese of Harrisburg, in response to the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit Law (EITC), created the Neumann Scholarship Foundation. The EITC program provides tax credits to businesses that contribute to qualified scholarship organizations. The Neumann Scholarship Foundation has been approved by the State of Pennsylvania as a qualified scholarship organization. All scholarships offered by the Foundation are provided in accord with the laws governing this program.
Scholarships are offered to qualified students attending Catholic schools in the Diocese of Harrisburg, on a basis of need. In order to meet the state requirements, the scholarship organizations must demonstrate that families meet the state eligibility requirements. The Neumann Scholarship Foundation has contracted with a private company, FACTS, to process the information provided by families applying for scholarships. FACTS will provide the Neumann Scholarship Foundation with a relative ranking of need among the eligible families. The Foundation will award scholarships on the basis of this information.
York Catholic Tuition Assistance Fund
York Catholic High School carefully plans its budget to keep tuition as low as possible. We realize many families need tuition assistance for their students to study at YC. A Tuition Assistance Fund which is financed by donor generosity provides limited support to qualifying families. Last year, over 25% of York Catholic’s students received tuition assistance.
