The senior high student council is collecting NEW hats, scarves, and mittens for those in need in our community. Items can be placed on the Giving Tree in the lobby at York Catholic December 1-19.
The National Honor Society is collecting gently used coats for their Coat Drive. A collection box will be in the lobby December 1-19. The coats will be donated to the Catholic Harvest Food Pantry.
Students are collecting Christmas presents for the children who are patients at Hershey Medical Center, in remembrance of Jacob Gurrerri. Parents of the children at Hershey will be able to choose some gifts and have them “delivered” on Christmas Eve.
Chris Gurreri, a YC graduate, is coordinating this toy drive in memory of his brother Jacob, who was five-years-old when he died. This is the 13th year anniversary of his death. The Gurreri family was fortunate enough to stay in the Ronald McDonald House during the three weeks that Jacob was being treated at Hershey Medical Center.

Students are asked to begin bringing toys December 1 and have all toys to their homerooms by the morning of Tuesday, December 18, at 8:15 AM. Thank you for your generosity this holiday season in helping to make Christmas a little brighter for the children who are in the hospital.
