York Catholic High School is seeking to fill the following teaching and support staff positions.  In faith-based education, we place significant value in the spiritual, social, intellectual, emotional, and physical development of our students. The School Counselor guides students in grades 9-12 in the developmental processes in intellectual, social, and personal growth and assists students in making informed and individually appropriate social, educational, and vocational choices. The counselor offers students multiple resources for the exploration of career paths that match interests and talents. This counselor schedules visits by college admissions personnel on the YC campus and hosts informational sessions for parents. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree, counselor certification, PA state and federal clearances. Candidate must possess the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. The School Nurse develops and maintains a comprehensive school health services program for students in grades 7 through 12, following the guidelines of the PA School Code, PA DOH Regulations, the  Division of School Health guidelines, PA DOE Regulations, and diocesan policies. Requirements:  current PA Registered Nurse license, Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN), certification as Educational Specialist by PA DOE preferred, CPR/AED certification, background/experience preferred in pediatric nursing, community health nursing, critical care nursing, medical-surgical nursing and/or emergency room nursing, knowledge of current Child Abuse Law, required Act 48 continuing education coursework for Nursing license and Education Specialist II Certificate, required PA state and federal clearances. The Campus Ministry Director is a 10-month position, renewed annually, that reports directly to the Principal on matters related to the faith formation of students, faculty, and staff at York Catholic. Primary Responsibilities include acting as the primary resource to the Principal, and arranging all school religious activities including liturgy, retreats, and community outreach. Requirements:  Practicing and committed member of the Catholic church, Bachelor’s degree or higher in religious education, theology, Catholic studies, or a related field, sound commitment to the philosophy of Catholic Education, must obtain prior approval for application from the Religious Education Office at the Diocese of Harrisburg, PA state and federal clearances, must possess the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community.
