Student Life

All students belong in a community where collaboration, kindness, and self-expression are celebrated. We know that growth happens not just in the classroom but also in discovering who you are and what drives you. That’s why we offer a diverse range of extracurricular activities, inviting every student to explore their unique interests and passions. Here, you’ll find opportunities to connect with others, build friendships, and be part of a vibrant and supportive community. By participating in a range of middle school clubs and activities and high school activities, YC students also learn to balance their academic and personal interests while developing essential skills for their future.

Students can choose from over 60 middle school offerings and high school clubs and activities where they can explore their interests, enjoy time with friends and grow valuable collaboration and leadership skills. At YC, clubs and student activities are well-suited for students with experience as well as those who want to try something new, and many students take the opportunity to participate in multiple offerings. Our YC athletes are active in our school musicals, our National Honor Society members participate in our ping pong and ski clubs and our art club members also enjoy the opportunity to be leaders in our campus ministry.

At YC, arts are celebrated as a critical part of the learning experience. YC’s fine arts program offers a full range of opportunities from enriching classroom experiences and performance groups to clubs and ensembles for all levels. From visual arts to theater to music, students have the opportunity to expand and explore their creative interests.

In addition to the many on-site student clubs and activities, YC students also can be active in the community. York Catholic’s community engagement programs are an important part of helping students understand the importance of service to others and community.

YC cultivates a vibrant community where students are encouraged to openly explore and celebrate their diverse faiths, cultures, and backgrounds. Our campus ministry at the high school and middle school levels is just one example of a welcoming space for all students to become active participants and engage with their peers in meaningful ways while exploring Catholic traditions. Building an inclusive and connected student community is vital to our approach, and we are dedicated to helping every student grow as a unique individual and a valuable part of our shared journey.
