Re-Enrollment

Re-enrollment
We appreciate that families have selected York Catholic for their child’s education and we look forward to continuing that relationship through graduation and beyond. Our preparation for the fall start of a school year actually begins a year in advance as we plan curriculum, develop activities, welcome future students for visits, and draft budgets. That planning requires us to have an understanding of our enrollment for next year. We ask families to complete the Re-enrollment Form below and submit it to the main office along with the appropriate fee as outlined here:
Early Enrollment Deadline: $200 per student paid by February 16, 2023
Enrollment Deadline: $250 per student paid by April 14, 2023
After April 14: $300 per student
$200.00 of the re-enrollment fee will be applied to your child’s 2023-2024 required technology and capital improvement fees ($100.00 each).
We look forward to your child continuing their journey with us and thank you for your commitment to a York Catholic education.
Family Customized Tuition
Much like the YC education experience is personalized to each student’s individual needs, Family Customized Tuition replaces the one-size-fits-all model to match each family’s contribution to their unique financial circumstances. Your individual tuition contribution is personalized based on your unique means and needs, ensuring it is the right fit for your family.
Similar to the FAFSA process for colleges and universities, families will complete a brief financial questionnaire online that factors in individual financial circumstances and applies them to create your customized tuition based on factors such as your annual income, debts, family size, obligations, etc.
To get started, visit the Simple Tuition Solutions (STS) website (please note there is a $25 STS application fee).
Course Selection
Parent Information
Please take the time to review our course catalog and grade-level course registration materials for next school year. These resources will assist as you engage in conversation with your student at home regarding their schedule options for next school year. We will continue our partnership with several colleges and elective high school entities, to include Alvernia University for College in the Classroom credit, Dual Enrollment at three local York County colleges for credit, the York County School of Technology flex program for grades 11 & 12, and the Virtual High School for elective opportunities.
After reviewing the information online, please feel free to contact Mrs. Kathy Hand, Director of Studies, with any further questions you may have. She can be reached at khand@yorkcatholic.org or 717-846-8871 x1313.
Student Process
Middle School
Mrs. Kathy Hand, Director of Studies, and the Guidance Department will visit Middle School classrooms the week of February 13 regarding the course selection process for next school year. Middle School students will bring home a list of courses for the 2023-2024 school year to share with parents. As part of the pre-course selection process, please review that list with them, provide the necessary parent signature, and have your student return the course selection form to their homeroom teacher by Friday, February 24. Middle School students will complete online course selection in classrooms under the supervision of Mrs. Hand and the Guidance Department.
High School
Mrs. Hand and the Guidance Department will visit High School classrooms beginning February 3 regarding the course selection process for next school year. High School students should be talking with their subject level teachers regarding appropriate course selection and level (1, 2, H, or AP) for 2023-2024. Students currently in grades 9 through 11 have access to the online course selection portal in FOCUS. This will remain open until Friday, February 24. During this time, students should select their courses, and appropriate levels based on teacher recommendations, for next school year. There is no need for students to print their selections as in years past; the Studies Office will print, and teachers will review and sign. Those signed forms will be distributed to students in homerooms on Monday, March 13; students are asked to take them home for close review and parent signature. All signed forms are due to homeroom teachers by Friday, March 17.
Students should feel free to contact Mrs. Kathy Hand, Director of Studies, with any further questions. She can be reached at khand@yorkcatholic.org or 717-846-8871 x1313.
