Guaranteed College Admissions for York Catholic Students

Through our Guaranteed College Admissions agreements with many prestigious colleges and universities, YC offers students a more confident path forward while creating real value for families in guaranteeing a return on the investment of a YC education. Our approach is built on preparation, strong relationships, and a clear connection between the work students do today and the opportunities that follow.

York Catholic’s Guaranteed College Admissions program connects students with a growing network of 37+ colleges and universities. These partner schools, which include both Catholic and non-Catholic institutions, guarantee admission and real scholarship dollars to YC students who meet established academic criteria. For many students, that includes maintaining a strong academic record, typically a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Guaranteed College Admissions provides the benefit of simplifying the college search process for many families. It is also about recognizing the work students have put in during their secondary school years and creating a pathway that supports their potential for success in higher education. As awareness of the program continues to grow, more YC students are taking advantage of these opportunities. In 2025, students submitted 107 applications to partner colleges and universities through Guaranteed College Admissions agreements, which represents a notable increase from the previous year.

Each year, partner colleges and universities visit York Catholic to connect with students and share more about their programs. Many also participate in Instant Decision Days, where students can receive admissions offers from multiple schools on the spot at York Catholic.

What makes this program especially impactful is that it is built into the York Catholic experience from the start. Students begin exploring college and career interests as early as middle school. By eighth grade, they are introduced to structured college and career preparation. Then, in tenth grade, they begin building their college profiles, learning about the application process, and planning for what comes next.

Throughout high school at YC, guidance counselors provide both classroom instruction and individualized support. Students are not navigating this process on their own. They are supported at every step.
